I am a PhD student in Biomedicine at the Pompeu Fabra University. I have a Bachelor´s Degree in Humanities from Jacobs University Bremen (Germany). Throughout my years of learning and teaching languages, I became curious and fascinated by the mental processes underlying pedagogy and learning, which led me to pursue a Master´s Degree in Cognitive Science and Language at the University of Barcelona (Spain). Currently, I am focusing on the role ostensive cues play in knowledge acquisition and the impact they have on how different types of information are retained in long-term memory. My research interests also extend to areas such as language acquisition, categorization, generics and social groups.
